French audio brand Elipson is giving one of its most popular speaker lines a refresh. The Prestige Facet II series is the latest evolution of the company’s affordable loudspeaker lineup, and it’s built to handle everything from stereo listening to full-on Dolby Atmos home theater setups.
First launched in 2016, the original Prestige Facet series quickly became a go-to option for listeners who wanted solid performance without breaking the bank. Now, nearly a decade later, Elipson has rolled out an updated version with ten new models and a number of behind-the-scenes upgrades—both technical and cosmetic.
The new Prestige Facet II family includes ten different speaker models, which means there’s something here whether you're building a compact hi-fi system or a surround sound rig for movies and gaming.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the lineup:
The bookshelf speakers are traditional two-way designs, while the floorstanding models scale up from 2.5-way to 3.5-way configurations. That means larger cabinets, more drivers, and higher sensitivity as you move up the line. For example, the top-tier 34F includes dual 10-inch woofers, two 7-inch mids, and a 1-inch tweeter—all packed into a tower design that’s built for big sound.
Want a Dolby Atmos setup? You can pair the 6ATM modules with your front speakers for height effects. The only thing missing from the series is a subwoofer, which Elipson suggests sourcing from its Horus range or another brand.
Compared to the first-generation Facet models, the new series comes with a handful of key technical improvements.
One of the biggest changes is the redesigned crossover network—the internal circuitry that splits audio signals between the tweeter, midrange, and woofers. Elipson swapped in higher-grade components like polypropylene capacitors and low-resistance inductors. The result? The company says the new crossovers help improve channel separation and deliver a more even and natural frequency response.
The internal wiring has also been upgraded. Elipson is now using 2.25 mm² oxygen-free copper (OFC), which is meant to reduce signal loss and maintain cleaner transmission between components inside the speaker.
On the structural side, cabinet rigidity has been improved with new internal reinforcements. That should help cut down on unwanted vibrations and resonance, especially at higher volumes. The floorstanding models also get new decoupling feet, designed to keep the speaker more stable and reduce floor-borne vibrations.
Cosmetically, the changes are subtle but noticeable. Elipson has dropped the old gloss-finished front panel in favor of a new satin finish. It’s a cleaner, more understated look that may appeal to people who want their gear to blend in rather than stand out.
The speakers are available in three finishes: black, white, and black/walnut. So whether you're setting up a modern media room or a more traditional listening space, there’s a version that should fit in with your style.
The Prestige Facet II series is currently available in Europe. US pricing and availability haven’t been confirmed yet. Here’s a look at the European prices:
With pricing that ranges from under £300 for a center channel to £3,000 for the flagship towers, the Prestige Facet II series stays in the midrange sweet spot, offering more than entry-level models but still far below the price tags of high-end boutique brands.
The Prestige Facet II brings some meaningful improvements to a well-loved line. The expanded range of models gives users more flexibility, whether you're into two-channel stereo or immersive surround sound. And the updates—both inside and out—aim to improve performance and blend better into today’s living spaces.
If you’re thinking about a speaker upgrade, this refresh might be worth keeping an eye on, especially once US availability is confirmed.
