After decades of focusing mainly on amps and digital gear, Arcam is back in the speaker game. The new Radia Series isn’t just a side project—it’s a full lineup of six models designed to handle everything from two-channel hi-fi listening to full-blown home cinema setups.

Whether you're building a minimalist stereo system or going all-in with surround sound, the Radia Series has you covered. It includes two bookshelf speakers (R15 and R25), a center speaker (R35C), a subwoofer (R25B), and two floorstanding models (R35 and R45). This launch rounds out the Radia family, which already includes amps, streamers, and processors, making it easier than ever to put together a complete system under one roof.

Arcam might be better known today for its electronics, but this isn’t its first run at loudspeakers. Back in the 1980s, the company released the ARCAM Two bookshelf speakers, and later the Muso speakers. Those designs built a solid following, but Arcam shifted its focus over the years to digital components—until now.

With help from its parent company Harman International, Arcam is stepping back into loudspeakers with access to world-class acoustic research labs and testing facilities. The Radia Series is the first major result of that collaboration, and it’s been designed from the ground up to play nicely with both Arcam and third-party gear.

Visually, the Radia speakers stick to the same design style as Arcam’s electronics. That means Black Walnut wood veneer, a splash of yellow accenting, and magnetically attached grilles for a clean, modern look. The cabinets don’t just look nice, as they’re also built with internal bracing to reduce vibration and help keep the sound tight and controlled.

For the bookshelf speakers, Arcam is offering optional solid aluminum stands if you want a dedicated setup.

Let’s talk drivers. Every speaker in the Radia Series uses a 25 mm (1-inch) aluminum dome tweeter coated with what Arcam calls Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC). This tweeter sits in an Acoustic Lens waveguide, which helps spread the sound more evenly across the room and keeps stereo imaging sharp.

Bass and midrange duties are handled by Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC) drivers, which strike a balance between low weight and high stiffness. Depending on the model, you’ll get either 130 mm or 165 mm woofers:

  • 130 mm drivers: found in the R15, R35, and R35C
  • 165 mm drivers: used in the R25 and R45
  • Dedicated midrange drivers: also DCC-coated—130 mm in the R35, and 165 mm in the R45

The R25B subwoofer features a 250 mm (10-inch) fiber-composite cone driven by a built-in 750-watt digital amp. Whether you’re watching movies or listening to music, it’s built to bring the low end with precision.

You can use these speakers with gear from any brand, but if you pair them with Arcam’s SA35 ($3,300 at Crutchfield) or SA45 ($5,500 at Crutchfield) streaming amps, you unlock something extra: Arcam’s Anechoic EQ (AEQ). This feature automatically adjusts the amp’s output to better match the specific speaker you’re using, based on testing done in anechoic chambers.

This fine-tuning isn't limited to stereo setups either. It’ll be available on Arcam’s new AV receivers and processors too, meaning you can optimize your entire multichannel system without needing to break out a calibration mic or dive into advanced settings.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s in the lineup and how each model fits into different types of setups:

  • R15 Bookshelf Speakers: A compact two-way speaker with a 130 mm MCC woofer and 25 mm DCC tweeter. Great for desktop setups, small rooms, or paired with a subwoofer. £1,699 / €2,000 (pair)
  • R25 Bookshelf Speakers: A step up with a larger 165 mm woofer for more low-end presence. Still compact enough for shelves or stands. £2,599 / €3,000 (pair)
  • R35C Center Speaker: Designed to handle dialogue in a surround system. Uses two 130 mm woofers and the DCC tweeter for clear, wide dispersion. £1,699 / €2,000 (each)
  • R35 Floorstanding Speakers: Three 130 mm woofers, one 130 mm midrange, and the tweeter—this three-way tower works well in medium-sized rooms. £1,999 / €2,500 (each)
  • R45 Floorstanding Speakers: The flagship. It scales up to three 165 mm woofers and a matching 165 mm midrange. Best suited for larger spaces. £2,999 / €3,500 (each)
  • R25B Subwoofer: A 10-inch sub with 750 watts of power, flexible enough to add punch to music or a serious rumble to movie soundtracks. £2,599 / €3,000 (each)

While the bookshelf and floorstanding speakers can easily be used in a stereo system, Arcam clearly has multichannel setups in mind too. With a dedicated center channel and powered subwoofer, the Radia Series can anchor a full home theater system.

And thanks to the matching design and built-in EQ features, it's easy to build a streamlined system that not only sounds good but also works together without a lot of fuss.

“We are proud to launch the Radia Series loudspeakers,” said Mike Strange, Global Product Line Manager at ARCAM. “They complement the Radia Series perfectly and, thanks to our talented engineers and HARMAN’s world-class facilities, deliver the same remarkable standard of performance as our electronics. Our new loudspeakers integrate fully with ARCAM amplifiers and AV products, while excelling with any high-quality system.”

Arcam’s return to loudspeakers feels like a natural next step rather than a nostalgic throwback. By building out a full speaker lineup under the Radia name, they’re offering more than just a piecemeal audio solution—they’re creating an ecosystem.

If you’re already using Radia amps or thinking about putting together a matched system, the Radia Series speakers are worth a look. And even if you're mixing brands, the lineup is flexible enough to slot into just about any setup.

Now that speakers are back in the Arcam catalog, it looks like the Radia name will carry more weight than ever, literally and figuratively.

The Arcam Radia Series loudspeakers are expected to hit store shelves in May 2026, with their public debut set for ISE 2026 in Barcelona. You’ll be able to demo them at the HARMAN Luxury Audio booth if you happen to be attending.

Pricing is clearly aimed at the premium market, with each model positioned to compete in higher-end hi-fi and AV circles. Global pricing outside Europe hasn’t been announced yet, but UK and EU prices are already confirmed. Meanwhile, you can check out other Arcam gear at Crutchfield.
