Fosi Audio is back with an updated version of its popular T20X, and if you liked the original, there’s a lot to get excited about here. The new T20X MKII keeps the same desktop-friendly design and glowing tube vibe but adds more power, improved Bluetooth, and some welcome tweaks under the hood.
If you set the new MKII next to the original T20X, you might do a double take — they look nearly identical. Same compact metal housing, glowing vacuum tubes on top, and the trio of volume, bass, and treble knobs out front. But inside, Fosi has swapped in a TPA3255 amplifier chip from Texas Instruments, and it’s now rated for up to 150 watts per channel into 4 ohms.
That’s more juice than before (the first-gen topped out at 100 watts per channel), which means more headroom for powering bookshelf speakers or nearfield monitors, especially if they’re on the efficient side. In real-world use, you probably won’t hit those max numbers, but the upgrade still gives you a little extra breathing room.

The T20X MKII sticks to the hybrid formula that’s made Fosi amps so appealing: vacuum tubes for the preamp stage and a Class D digital amp for power. The tubes — a pair of Soviet 6Ж2П models — handle the signal up front and give the sound that rounded, slightly warm quality people love about tube gear.
On the modern side, Bluetooth has been upgraded to version 5.1 thanks to a Qualcomm QCC3031 chip, which supports a whole range of audio codecs — including aptX HD and aptX Low Latency. That means you can stream high-quality music from your phone, tablet, or computer without worrying about lag or compression ruining the sound.

Wired options are still here too, with RCA inputs for analog gear, and outputs for passive speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and even a pre-out if you want to connect the amp to a larger system.
The footprint of the T20X MKII hasn’t changed — it measures just 122 × 137 × 41 mm and weighs around a kilo — making it ideal for desktops, bookshelves, or anywhere you want big sound from a small box. It ships with a 32V/5A power supply, which helps the amp deliver its rated output cleanly.
One thing to be aware of is that the chassis can get pretty warm during long listening sessions, which isn’t unusual for a hybrid amp like this. Just make sure it has a little breathing room on your desk.

The T20X MKII is just one piece of a much bigger puzzle. Fosi Audio has been steadily expanding its lineup in the past few months — and it’s no longer just about amps. They recently rolled out the IM4 earphones, the ZH3 DAC/headphone amp, their first-ever subwoofer, the SW10, and even a turntable called the Luna3.
The IM4 earphones are going for $109.99 on Amazon, the ZH3 DAC/headphone amp is priced at $199.99, the SW10 subwoofer sells for $319.99, and you can still grab the original T20X tube amp for just $99.99.
In short, they’re building a full ecosystem of hi-fi gear that’s budget-friendly but doesn’t feel cheap — and the T20X MKII fits right into that strategy.

Technical Specifications:

At $129.99, the T20X MKII is clearly aimed at enthusiasts who want to dip their toes into tube sound without going full-on audiophile. It’s small enough for a desktop, powerful enough for a pair of efficient speakers, and versatile enough to handle both analog and Bluetooth sources.
Is it going to replace a $2,000 integrated amp? Of course not. But for those who like a little warmth, a bit of visual flair from glowing tubes, and a no-nonsense setup, the T20X MKII looks like a fun, affordable way to bring personality to your listening space.
