Campfire Audio is turning 10 this year, and to celebrate, it’s giving one of its most iconic in-ear monitors—the Andromeda—a major overhaul. Meet the Andromeda 10, a brand-new flagship model that packs double the drivers of the original and introduces some welcome design changes, all while staying true to the sound and style that made it a hit in the first place.
If you’ve been around the IEM scene, you probably know the original Andromeda. It launched back in 2016 with its distinctive green shells and a five-driver setup that delivered a slightly bright but balanced tuning. It became a fan favorite and a kind of reference point for premium universal-fit IEMs. Fast forward to 2025, and the Andromeda 10 looks to build on that legacy—just with a bit more muscle under the hood.
“Since its debut in 2016, the Andromeda has been a favorite among audiophiles and quickly became our most iconic IEM to date at Campfire Audio,” said Ken Ball, founder of Campfire Audio. “To honor ten years of Campfire products, we’ve taken that championed design and elevated it with everything we’ve learned over the past decade, from tuning refinements to new driver configurations, to create Andromeda 10.”

The headline feature is right in the name: 10 balanced armature drivers. The original had five. This time, Campfire’s gone with four drivers for the lows, four for the mids, and two for the highs. The goal? Better clarity, wider dynamic range, and more extension across the frequency range—without losing that classic Andromeda tuning.
They’ve also ditched the MMCX connectors and replaced them with 2-pin connectors—a first for a Campfire flagship. This was one of the most requested features from the community, and it should make cable swapping easier and more secure.
Here’s a quick look at the tech specs:
Inside, Campfire’s using a mix of ceramic and vintage capacitors, tuned damping, and custom acoustic chambers—all of which are assembled by hand at their workshop in Portland, Oregon.

If you’re into gear that stands out, Campfire’s offering the Andromeda 10 in three versions—but two of them are strictly limited editions.
Both Special Editions ship with an upgraded cable that’s exclusive to the Andromeda 10. These cables feature a 6-conductor design using high-quality gold-plated copper, along with custom y-splits and terminations. You’ll also get a unique travel case that matches the design of each SE model.

Pre-orders for the SE versions start in late September, with shipping expected around mid-October. The Classic Green version will be available sometime after that.
One thing that hasn’t changed: Campfire’s approach to craftsmanship. Like all of their products, the Andromeda 10 is built by hand in small batches at their Portland HQ. That includes everything from driver matching to final testing.
And if you were wondering, no—these aren’t generic off-the-shelf drivers. The balanced armatures used in the Andromeda 10 are custom-designed and tuned by the same team that’s been refining Campfire’s gear for the past decade.

The Andromeda 10 is about taking a well-loved formula and pushing it just a little further—more detail, more depth, and a build that reflects how far the brand has come. Whether you’re already a fan of the original Andromeda or just curious about high-end IEMs, this anniversary release shows that Campfire is still paying attention to what listeners want.
And yes, it’s expensive. But with that price comes options: stick with the standard green model for a classic look and a lower price, or go all-in with the SE editions if you’re after something that feels (and looks) more exclusive.
For Campfire Audio, the Andromeda 10 is more than just a new release—it’s a celebration of everything the brand has built over the last 10 years. And for listeners, it’s a chance to revisit a classic—or discover it for the first time—with fresh eyes and sharper ears.
