Monitor Audio has given its Silver Series 7G lineup a fresh twist with the launch of two Limited Edition speakers. The new models—the Silver 300 7G floorstander and the Silver 100 7G stand-mount speaker—come dressed in a sleek Carbon Black Metallic finish and will be available worldwide starting August 2025.
If you’ve followed Monitor Audio’s Silver Series since its 2021 launch, you’ll recognize most of what’s inside these speakers. But the Limited Edition release adds a few extras to make them stand out.
The biggest visual change is the Carbon Black Metallic finish, which gives the speakers a darker, more modern look. Each unit is also individually numbered with a small plaque, making them feel a bit more exclusive. Monitor Audio hasn’t revealed how many are being made, but the numbered system suggests it won’t be a mass-market run.
Inside, these Limited Edition models share the same engineering as the standard Silver Series 7G, but with some tweaks.
All of this is tied together with a carefully tuned crossover and cabinet design meant to strike a balance between clarity, punch, and musical accuracy.
The Limited Edition range keeps things simple with just two options:
If you go for the Silver 100, there’s also a matching ST2 stand available separately.
The Limited Edition models are priced a little higher than their standard counterparts, which reflects the updated finish and detailing. Here’s the breakdown:
Interestingly, Monitor Audio hasn’t rolled out Limited Edition versions of the entire Silver Series. Instead, it’s focused only on the 300 and 100, which are arguably the most flexible in the range.
The 300 works as a full-range solution for people who want big, room-filling sound, while the 100 is better suited for smaller rooms or setups where floorstanders would be overkill. That makes these Limited Edition models more like statement pieces for stereo listening, rather than a full home theater package.
For most people, the Limited Edition Silver Series 7G is less about a new sound and more about exclusivity. The Carbon Black Metallic finish sets them apart visually, and the numbered plaques give them collector appeal.
That said, there are also subtle tweaks to the drivers and tweeter that aim to smooth out performance, so it’s not purely cosmetic. In other words, you’re getting a mix of style and refinement built on top of a platform that’s already familiar.
The Silver Series has always been a kind of middle ground in Monitor Audio’s lineup—accessible for serious music listeners but borrowing tech from the brand’s higher-end models. With the Silver 300 7G and Silver 100 7G Limited Edition, Monitor Audio is giving that formula a new look and a bit of exclusivity.
If you’ve been considering adding the Silver Series to your setup, this August’s release offers a chance to get something slightly different—both in design and in rarity.
