SOUNDPEATS has introduced a new pair of budget wireless earbuds aimed at people who just want something that works comfortably, reliably, and without overthinking it. Called the Air6 HS, the new model leans into a lightweight semi-in-ear design, long battery life, and a feature set that covers the basics (plus a few extras) for day-to-day use.
That positioning makes sense right now. A lot of affordable earbuds tend to split into two camps: tightly sealed in-ear models that can feel fatiguing over time, or open designs that trade isolation for comfort. The Air6 HS is trying to land somewhere in between, offering a lighter fit while still keeping audio more contained than open-ear alternatives.
According to SOUNDPEATS, the earbuds were developed using ergonomic data from more than 10,000 ear samples. Each bud weighs just 4 grams, and the semi-in-ear shape is designed to reduce pressure during longer listening sessions. In practical terms, this is the kind of design you’d reach for if you’re wearing earbuds for hours at a time—whether that’s work, commuting, or just background listening at home.

On the audio side, the Air6 HS uses a 13mm dynamic driver with a composite diaphragm and a triple-magnetic circuit. The goal here isn’t aggressive tuning or heavy bass, but a more balanced sound that stays easy to listen to over time.
SOUNDPEATS is also adding a few features that don’t always show up at this price:
LDAC is one of the more notable inclusions. It allows compatible Android devices to stream higher-bitrate audio over Bluetooth, which can help preserve more detail compared to standard codecs. That said, it’s still dependent on your source and listening habits, so it’s more of a bonus than a guaranteed upgrade for everyone.
Battery life is a big part of the Air6 HS pitch. SOUNDPEATS rates the earbuds at up to 9 hours per charge, with a total of up to 45 hours when you include the charging case. There’s also a quick-charge feature, where 10 minutes plugged in can deliver up to 3 hours of playback.

For everyday use, the feature set is fairly practical:
Multipoint is especially useful here. It lets you switch between a phone and a laptop without constantly reconnecting, which is something you tend to miss quickly once you’ve used it.
The tradeoff with the Air6 HS becomes clearer once you look at what’s missing. There’s no active noise cancellation here, and the semi-in-ear design doesn’t create the same seal as traditional in-ear earbuds. That means more outside noise gets in, especially in louder environments like public transit or busy offices.
Features like LDAC and long battery life help balance things out, but they don’t fully replace isolation. In practice, the Air6 HS feels designed for quieter spaces and all-day comfort, rather than blocking out the world around you.

At $39.99, the Air6 HS lands in a crowded category, with strong competition from the CMF Buds 2a ($39 at Amazon) and the Soundcore P30i ($39.99). All three target everyday users, but they take noticeably different approaches.
The biggest difference comes down to design. The Air6 HS uses a semi-in-ear fit that’s lighter and less intrusive, while both the CMF Buds 2a and P30i use traditional in-ear tips that create a tighter seal. That seal allows both competing models to offer active noise cancellation (ANC), which the Air6 HS skips.
On paper, the CMF Buds 2a and P30i lean more toward features like ANC, stronger isolation, and app-based sound controls. The Air6 HS, by comparison, focuses more on comfort and audio flexibility, with LDAC support, Hi-Res Audio certification, and longer total battery life (up to 45 hours with the case).
In real-world use, the choice is pretty simple:
None of these clearly wins across the board, and it just depends on whether you prioritize comfort, noise isolation, or extra features.
The SOUNDPEATS Air6 HS is available now on Amazon for $39.99. From April 13 through April 20, the company says buyers can use code SPA6HSNEWS for an additional discount, with total savings reaching up to 30 percent when combined with on-page coupons. That brings the effective price down to around $27.99.
