At CES 2026, Soundpeats showed up with something a little different from its usual lineup. The new Aura Nebula earbuds, expected to launch this spring for $200, are designed for people who care about sound quality just as much as convenience. These earbuds aim to bring the kind of detailed, wired audio experience typically found in studio headphones into a compact, wireless package.

While Soundpeats has mostly been known for affordable wireless earbuds, the Aura Nebula signals a move toward something more advanced. With five drivers packed into each earbud, support for high-resolution streaming codecs, and adaptive noise cancellation, this release is clearly aimed at more critical listeners.

Most wireless earbuds rely on a single speaker (or driver) to handle everything from bass to treble. The Aura Nebula takes a different approach. Each earbud contains five separate drivers, each tuned to handle a different part of the audio spectrum. Here's how that breaks down:

  • A 10mm dynamic driver handles the bass — the punchy, physical low-end that gives music its weight.
  • A 6mm planar driver focuses on the midrange, bringing texture and clarity to vocals and instruments.
  • Two balanced armature drivers cover the upper mids and treble, offering more precision.
  • And a micro-planar tweeter adds sparkle and air to the high frequencies.

To make sure these drivers work together properly, the earbuds include a three-way electronic crossover. This system routes different frequencies to the right drivers, aiming to keep everything balanced and distinct. The goal is to create a listening experience where every instrument and voice feels like it has its own space.

Visually, the Aura Nebula earbuds stand out. Instead of sticking with a typical black or white matte plastic, Soundpeats went with a color-shifting design using a special multi-layer coating. Depending on the lighting, the surface gives off a nebula-like shimmer — hence the name.

But the design isn’t just for looks. The outer shell also features an S-shaped curve, which helps redirect airflow and reduce wind noise — a common issue for earbuds during outdoor use. Whether you're walking through a gusty park or biking to work, this tweak could make a noticeable difference.

The adaptive hybrid noise cancellation built into the Aura Nebula can reduce external sound by up to 55 decibels, which should come in handy on commutes, planes, or even busy offices.

For phone calls, the earbuds include a three-microphone setup with AI-based noise reduction. This system is designed to isolate your voice from background noise, so the person on the other end of the call hears you clearly — not the honking cars or chatty coffee shop crowd.

On the tech side, the Aura Nebula checks a lot of boxes. It supports high-bitrate Bluetooth codecs like aptX Adaptive Lossless, LDAC, LC3, and Snapdragon Sound, which means better sound quality if you’re streaming high-res audio from services that support it.

There’s also Bluetooth multipoint, which lets the earbuds stay connected to two devices at once. So you can listen to a podcast on your laptop and seamlessly switch to a phone call without having to mess with settings.

If you’re into mobile gaming or binge-watching, the low-latency mode (about 50 milliseconds) helps keep audio and video in sync — something casual listeners might not notice, but gamers definitely will.

Battery life is solid at about seven hours per charge, and the case supports both USB-C fast charging and wireless charging, giving you flexibility when it’s time to top up.

If you like to fine-tune your audio, the PeatsAudio app gives you plenty of options. You can use the multi-band EQ to tweak the sound profile or pick from 10 built-in presets. The app also includes a fit detection tool to help you get a better seal, which can improve both audio performance and noise cancellation.

The Aura Nebula is expected to hit the market in Spring 2026 at $200. Launch details like shipping dates and retail partners are still to come.

Soundpeats is currently showing the earbuds off at CES 2026, where visitors can get hands-on time with the product. Also on display at the Soundpeats booth:

The Aura Nebula feels like Soundpeats trying something new — going beyond basic earbuds to build a more premium, audio-focused option for people who want real depth and detail in a wireless format. Whether it delivers on that promise remains to be seen, but the spec sheet alone makes it a model worth watching.

At $200, it's positioned in that middle ground between affordable earbuds and high-end flagships. For those who want Bluetooth convenience without giving up on sound quality, the Aura Nebula might strike the right balance.
