Marshall is expanding its party-speaker lineup with the new Bromley 450, a more compact follow-up to the larger Bromley 750. The idea here is pretty straightforward: keep the same bold, road-ready look and all-around sound approach, but package it in something that’s a little easier to move from the living room to the backyard, campsite, or weekend get-together.
That said, “smaller” is doing some work here. The Bromley 450 may be trimmed down compared to the Bromley 750, but this is still a substantial speaker. It measures 36 x 26.1 x 49.2 cm and weighs 12.2 kg, so this is not the kind of portable speaker you casually toss in a backpack. It’s more of a luggable party speaker, with a built-in handle meant to make transport manageable rather than effortless.

Marshall is positioning the Bromley 450 as a speaker for people who want higher output, longer battery life, and a few extra party-friendly features that go beyond basic Bluetooth playback. At $799.99, it also lands well above the casual portable speaker category, putting it in a space where buyers will probably expect not just volume, but flexibility.
“Last year, we launched our first ever party speaker and we’re excited about growing that family of Marshall speakers already this Spring” said Hanna Wallner, Product Manager, Marshall Group. “Bromley 450 is the natural continuation and smaller sibling to Bromley 750. This speaker is smaller and more affordable yet still packed with impressive features including sound that hits every corner, a stage light inspired light show and our unique Marshall design.”

The headline feature is Marshall’s True Stereophonic 360-degree sound, which uses drivers placed around the cabinet to spread audio more evenly in different directions. According to the information released today, the Bromley 450 uses:
That driver layout is meant to help the speaker fill open spaces more effectively than a more traditional front-firing design. The goal is to make the speaker less dependent on perfect placement. Whether it’s sitting in the middle of a room or off to the side of a patio, Marshall wants the music to feel present from multiple angles.

Battery life is another big part of the pitch. Marshall says the Bromley 450 can deliver more than 40 hours of playback on a charge, which it frames as enough for roughly 800 songs played back-to-back. The battery is also replaceable, and it’s shared with the larger Bromley 750, so owners of either model may appreciate that bit of ecosystem overlap. You can also plug the speaker into AC power when needed.
Marshall clearly wants this to be more than a speaker you hide in a corner. The Bromley 450 includes integrated stage lights with three presets, including an ambient setting and two modes that react to the music. The lighting sits behind a stamped metal grille and leans into a retro concert or disco-inspired look.
The overall design sticks closely to Marshall’s familiar visual formula: black-and-brass styling, tactile physical controls, and a cabinet wrapped in water-based PU leather. The corners are protected by soft TPU caps, which should help during transport, and the speaker carries an IP55 rating for dirt and splash resistance.

That doesn’t make it rugged in the same sense as a jobsite speaker, but it does suggest the Bromley 450 is designed to survive outdoor use, light splashes, and the general messiness that comes with parties, festivals, and backyard hangouts.
A few of the more practical features include:
While this is first and foremost a Bluetooth speaker, Marshall is giving the Bromley 450 a broader set of connection options than many portable models in this category. Wireless playback runs over Bluetooth 5.3, and the speaker supports Auracast along with SBC, AAC, and LC3 codecs.

For wired users, the Bromley 450 includes a 3.5 mm aux input and output, RCA, and USB-C inputs. There are also two XLR/6.3 mm combo jacks for microphones or instruments, which opens the door for karaoke, casual live sets, or DJ-style use at small gatherings.
That mic and instrument support is one of the clearest ways the Bromley 450 separates itself from typical large Bluetooth speakers. It’s still aimed at entertainment, but it has just enough extra utility to make it more than a simple music box with lights.
Technical Specifications:

Marshall says the Bromley 450 is available now through its website and Amazon for $799.99, with wider availability through select retailers starting March 31.
For buyers comparing within Marshall’s own lineup, the Bromley 450 sits below the Bromley 750, which costs $1,140 currently at Amazon and weighs roughly twice as much. So while the 450 is the smaller option, it’s still very much part of the big-speaker category.
The real question will be whether shoppers see it as portable enough to justify the tradeoff. On paper, the Bromley 450 offers long battery life, plenty of inputs, strong output, and a design that’s built to be seen. But at this size and price, it’s probably less of an everyday grab-and-go speaker and more of a dedicated event speaker for people who want something bigger than a typical Bluetooth model without jumping all the way to the 750.
