FiiO has been busy expanding its Snowsky sub-brand, a lineup focused on making high-quality audio gear more affordable and fun. Earlier this year, we saw the Snowsky Tiny—a tiny USB-C DAC/amp priced at just $20 on Amazon—and the Snowsky Retro Nano, a Bluetooth USB DAC/amp with throwback styling, priced at $65 on Amazon. Now comes the next entry: the Snowsky Disc, a compact, music-only player that blends old-school charm with modern audio features, and it lands at just $80.
If you’re tired of using your phone for everything and want a music device that just plays music, the Snowsky Disc is built for you. It’s not trying to run apps or replace your phone. Instead, it focuses on doing one thing well—playing high-resolution music files, both wired and wirelessly.
The first thing you’ll notice is the circular touchscreen. It’s an unusual choice, giving off strong iPod Nano meets portable CD player vibes. The screen displays album art and lyrics, and the user interface is built around simplicity. You can also control the device through FiiO’s smartphone app, but the goal here is minimal distractions—no push notifications, no social media, just music.

The Snowsky Disc leans heavily toward local file playback. There’s a microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB, which FiiO says can hold around 8,000 albums depending on file format. That’s a massive amount of music for a player that fits in your palm.
But if you’re not ready to give up streaming entirely, the Snowsky Disc has you covered. With Wi-Fi built in, you can stream audio via AirPlay to wireless speakers. The Wi-Fi connection also handles firmware updates, so the player can get new features or fixes down the line.
On the wireless headphones front, it supports Bluetooth with LDAC, meaning it can handle high-res files over a wireless connection—something most phones still struggle with. You can pair it with your favorite wireless earbuds or Bluetooth speaker and still enjoy top-tier audio quality.

One of the most surprising things about the Snowsky Disc is that it includes both a 3.5mm output and a 4.4mm balanced headphone jack. The 3.5mm is great for everyday use, but the 4.4mm is a big deal for anyone with gear that supports balanced audio, which can offer better power delivery and lower noise—especially for more demanding headphones.
Under the hood, there’s a dual DAC setup that FiiO says is tuned for a clean, natural sound. They haven’t released the exact chip details, but it’s clear this isn’t just a repackaged phone output—it’s meant to serve both casual and more serious listeners.
The Snowsky Disc isn’t just for portable listening. It can also double as a USB DAC, meaning you can connect it to your phone, tablet, or laptop and use it to improve the sound quality of those devices. This is especially handy if your laptop’s headphone jack leaves something to be desired.

It also has a digital SPDIF output, so you can hook it up to your home stereo, external DAC, or AV receiver. For folks with existing audio setups, this makes the Disc more than just a portable player—it’s a flexible digital source that can fit into different parts of your audio life.
Battery life is solid, with up to 12 hours of playback on a single charge. That’s plenty for most day-to-day listening, whether you’re on your commute, at your desk, or relaxing at home. It charges via USB-C, and its small form factor makes it super portable—pocketable, even.
The circular screen, while a bit unconventional, is easy to use once you get the hang of it. And if you prefer not to tap through menus, the FiiO app gives you another way to manage files and playback.

In a nod to its nostalgic design, the Snowsky Disc even includes some retro sound effects. You can toggle on these effects to add a lo-fi or old-school flavor to your music—great if you’re feeling nostalgic or just want to experiment a bit.
The Disc will be available in black, teal, and pink starting January 2026, with a retail price of $80. That puts it just above the Snowsky Echo Mini and Nano models, but still way below most hi-res portable players on the market.
If you're looking for a dedicated music player that doesn’t do anything but sound good, the Snowsky Disc hits the mark. It’s a great fit for:
It’s not meant to be everything. But for its size, price, and feature set, the Snowsky Disc covers a lot of ground—and brings a bit of fun back to music listening in the process.
