If you’ve been thinking about getting into vinyl but don’t want to deal with the usual maze of cables, tonearm adjustments, and external speakers, Andover Audio might have something for you. The company just announced the SpinPlay, an all-in-one hi-fi record player that’s designed to be as easy to use as it is to carry around.
This new addition to Andover’s Spin Collection blends a fully integrated turntable, built-in speakers, Bluetooth, and digital inputs—all packed into a single unit that’s ready to go the moment you take it out of the box. No setup, no calibration, no hassle.

It also joins a growing family of audio gear from Andover that’s focused on convenience without ditching sound quality. Earlier this year, the company launched the Andover-One SB speaker system, a compact setup with a similar just-plug-it-in philosophy. And we reviewed the Spinbase Max 2 here at HomeTheaterReview not long ago—it shares some of the same design concepts as SpinPlay and earned our Highly Recommended award for how well it pulls everything together.
“The SpinPlay is for vinyl fans who want the simplicity of an all-in-one system with true out-of-the-box hi-fi sound quality,” said Bob Hazelwood, Andover’s Director of Engineering and Product Development. “We have a well-established history of delivering reliable, award-winning sound from compact vinyl-playback systems that are built to perform and built to last, to satisfy discerning music enthusiasts and novice users alike.”

One of the biggest pain points with traditional turntables is setup. You usually need to mount a cartridge, balance a tonearm, level a platter, and wire everything into an external amp and speakers. SpinPlay skips all of that.
The turntable itself is belt-driven and features a 12-inch aluminum platter for stability. It also includes an automatic stop when a record finishes—a nice touch that helps preserve your stylus. The 9-inch tonearm comes fully balanced and preloaded with an Audio-Technica magnetic cartridge. Even the anti-skating is already dialed in. You don’t need any tools or turntable know-how to get started. Just drop a record on and press play.

SpinPlay doesn’t just spin records—it plays them, too. It features a built-in speaker system with a 270-degree driver layout: two oval woofers and two silk-dome tweeters. Each speaker gets its own amplifier channel—20 watts to each woofer and 15 watts to each tweeter—which helps the unit deliver fuller, clearer sound from a single box.
Like other products in the Spin series, SpinPlay uses Andover’s IsoGroove technology. That’s a vibration-isolation system that separates the speaker and turntable components, so the needle doesn’t jump or distort when the music gets loud. It’s the same core tech the company used in its flagship Andover-One system.

Another standout feature: SpinPlay is built to go places. Its solid construction and hardtop cover are designed to protect the gear during transport, and Andover plans to release a dedicated “Go-Bag” accessory in early 2026. According to the company, this bag will fit under an airplane seat or in the overhead bin—making SpinPlay a rare vinyl system you can bring on vacation or to your dorm room without worry.
This kind of portability isn’t something you typically see in the hi-fi world, where most gear is meant to stay parked on a rack. For people who want their record setup to be more flexible, SpinPlay could be a practical alternative.
Despite being a record player first and foremost, SpinPlay is ready to handle digital sources, too. It has Line, Optical Digital, and USB flash-drive inputs, so you can play music from other devices. It also includes two-way Bluetooth: you can stream music from your phone to the system, or send the record playback to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

SpinPlay also plays well with the rest of Andover’s Spin gear. You can pair it with the SpinSub ($379 at Amazon) for deeper bass or stack it on the SpinStand ($269 at Amazon), which conveniently holds up to 150 LPs.

SpinPlay isn’t trying to replace traditional hi-fi setups with separate amps, speakers, and tuners. Instead, it’s a system built for people who want good vinyl playback with less hassle, and maybe the freedom to take their music with them. Whether you’re starting out with vinyl or just want a more compact system that still sounds solid, SpinPlay looks like a practical new option.
The SpinPlay is available now for pre-order through Andover’s website for $729. It comes in either black or white finishes, and shipping is expected to start in mid-November. It’ll also be available through Amazon and other authorized dealers soon.
