Two Italian heavyweights—luxury speaker maker Sonus faber and supercar icon Automobili Lamborghini—have teamed up again, but this time the project isn’t meant for the road. Instead, it’s headed straight for the living room. The result is the Il Cremonese Ex3me Automobili Lamborghini Edition, a limited run of just 50 individually numbered pairs, each with a price tag of €125,000 / $130,000.

The new model made its first appearance at Monterey Car Week in Pebble Beach, California, a gathering known for showcasing rare cars, high-profile auctions, and luxury product launches. Sonus faber and Lamborghini have worked together before—the speaker brand created a custom in-car sound system for Lamborghini’s Revuelto hybrid supercar—but this is their first major home audio collaboration.

The design borrows heavily from Lamborghini’s style language. The cabinets have a distinctive five-sided “diamond” profile that mirrors the sharp, angular lines of Lamborghini super sports cars. They’re finished with carbon fibre details, Corsa-Tex® panels, and the Automobili Lamborghini shield logo for an unmistakable connection to the brand.

Buyers can choose from five finishes that tie directly to Lamborghini’s history:

  • Giallo Countach – the bright yellow made famous by the 1970s Countach.
  • Arancio Egon – bold orange first shown on the Urus SE.
  • Blu Marinus Matte – a deep matte blue.
  • Verde Mercurius – striking green.
  • Nero Nemesis Matte – matte black with a stealthy look.

Every pair is hand-built in Sonus faber’s Vicenza, Italy workshop. The final tuning is done entirely by ear, ensuring each set matches the brand’s performance standards. Because of this hands-on approach, you’re looking at a minimum three-month wait from placing your order to delivery.

The cabinet shape isn’t just about looks—it helps manage resonance inside the speaker for cleaner sound.

“Listening to music, much like driving, is a multi-sensory and emotional experience,” says Jim Mollica, Chief Marketing Officer and President of Luxury Audio at Bose Corporation. “With the introduction of Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition, we’re bringing the craftsmanship of high-performance sound and the precision of automotive design into the home. With over 100 years of combined excellence, we’re proud to continue our collaboration with our long-standing partner Lamborghini.”

Under the hood, the Il Cremonese Ex3me Lamborghini Edition takes the core design of Sonus faber’s Il Cremonese Ex3me and tweaks it for this collaboration. It’s a 3.5-way para-aperiodic vented design that includes:

  • Tweeter: 30 mm Diamond-Like-Carbon coated beryllium dome, reproducing frequencies beyond 35 kHz.
  • Midrange: 180 mm natural fibre cone made from air-dried cellulose, Kapok, and Kenaf.
Woofers: Two 180 mm sandwich-cone units for bass.
  • Infrawoofers: Side-mounted 220 mm nanocarbon-fibre reinforced drivers in sealed reflex chambers, extending bass down to 25 Hz.

The crossover uses Sonus faber’s Paracross Topology™ with premium Mundorf components for improved clarity and phase accuracy. Sensitivity comes in at 92 dB (2.83V/1 m), with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, and they’ll work with amplifiers from 100 W to 800 W.

Physically, each cabinet stands 1,450 mm tall, 490 mm wide, and 636 mm deep, weighing in at 84 kg per speaker.

“With Il Cremonese EX3ME-Automobili Lamborghini edition, we celebrate the excellence of Made in Italy by merging Sonus faber’s artisanal sound craftsmanship with Lamborghini’s visionary design,” adds Christian Mastro, Marketing Director of Automobili Lamborghini.

“This collaboration represents the perfect union of two Italian icons. The result is an uncompromising acoustic experience that reflects our cultural heritage and our relentless pursuit of perfection.”

On paper, a carmaker and a hi-fi manufacturer might seem worlds apart, but both Lamborghini and Sonus faber are known for combining distinctive design with precision engineering. This project blends those worlds—offering Lamborghini owners a way to bring some of their car’s style into their home, and giving audiophiles a piece of high-end audio that also doubles as a design statement.

With only 50 pairs available worldwide, these aren’t the kind of speakers you’ll spot in many homes. Each set is numbered, adding to the exclusivity. Orders are open now through Sonus faber, with European pricing set at €125,000 and US pricing at $130,000. UK prices are still to be confirmed.

With production this limited, these speakers are likely to remain as rare as some of the cars that inspired them—whether they end up in a dedicated listening room or as part of a high-end interior.
