Wyze’s new Duo Cam Pan takes a different approach to home security by tackling one of the biggest headaches with traditional cameras: blind spots. Instead of giving you just one lens to work with, Wyze has packed two separate 2K cameras into a single device — one fixed and one that can pan and tilt — so you can keep an eye on more without installing multiple cameras.

The Duo Cam Pan stacks its cameras vertically. The bottom one is fixed, always watching the same spot — think of your driveway, side gate, or that package drop-off area you don’t want to lose sight of. On top, the second camera sits on a motorized mount that can spin a full 360 degrees and tilt up and down 180 degrees.

That means it can follow movement around your property while the fixed camera keeps steady watch elsewhere. For example, you could have the fixed lens locked on your car while the pan-and-tilt lens tracks a visitor making their way up the path. It’s designed to reduce the “missed moment” problem you get when a moving camera shifts away from an important view.

The Duo Cam Pan is built for both indoor and outdoor use, with an IP65 weather-resistance rating. Wyze says corner mounting is ideal — it lets the cameras cover a wide swath from a single location, like a porch or exterior wall, without having to install two separate devices.

You’ll need a USB-C power connection, and Wyze includes a mounting kit, indoor power adapter, and six-foot cable in the box. Planning to set it up outside? An outdoor power adapter will be available separately.

Both cameras record in 2K resolution and have color night vision, so you can see detail whether it’s day or after dark. Motion-activated spotlights add extra visibility, and there’s a built-in 100dB siren for when you need an audible warning. You can also set up to four “Pan Scan” waypoints for the moving camera to patrol on its own.

Two-way audio is included, so you can talk to visitors (or give a firm “go away” to wildlife) through the Wyze app. The microphone and speaker can double as a quick way to get someone’s attention without having to step outside.

If you’d rather not rely on a cloud plan, the Duo Cam Pan supports continuous local recording to a microSD card — up to 512GB. Some advanced Wyze features do require a subscription, but basic video capture works without one.

The camera supports Wi-Fi 6 for a stronger connection and uses Bluetooth to make setup easier. It also works with Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT, and Wyze’s own automation tools, so you can link it with other devices — like turning on porch lights when motion is detected.

Introducing Wyze Duo Cam Pan

This launch follows a series of AI-focused updates from Wyze. Descriptive Alerts can send you text updates describing what the camera sees, while the “No Big Deal” (NBD) filter helps cut down on unnecessary notifications by ranking events based on importance.

Wyze has also added VerifiedView, which embeds your user ID into the metadata of every image, video, and live stream. This ID is checked before playback to help make sure only you can access your recordings.

The Wyze Duo Cam Pan is available now in the U.S. for $69.98 on Amazon.
