Stewart Filmscreen has introduced a new ambient light rejecting screen material called Phantom HALR. The company describes it as a "flexible front-projection material ideally suited for fixed-frame wallscreen or electric roller screen applications."
Phantom HALR is available in seamless sizes up to 40 feet by 90 feet (12.1 meters by 27.4 meters), and it can be perforated for acoustic transparency, which includes Stewart Filmscreen's proprietary Cinemaperf or Microperf X2 THX Ultra technology.
Stewart also describes the UHD- and HDR-ready Phantom HALR as being "virtually future-proofed to accommodate any advancement in resolution and consumer demand."
According to Stewart, Phantom HALR can deliver an image that meets ANSI standard industry contrast-ratio specs, even in a room with high ambient light and more than 50 foot-candles of light shining directly on the screen. Its proprietary multi-layer composition allows the material to deliver a uniform image from any angle in any setting.
Phantom HALR is now available for worldwide shipment.
