Samsung just launched a new lineup of Smart Monitors, and they’re designed to handle everything from work to cloud gaming—no PC required.

Samsung has launched a new trio of Smart Monitors, and this time, the company is bringing QD-OLED technology to the lineup for the first time. The flagship Smart Monitor M9 is the star of the show, while the updated M8 and M7 models aim to offer more affordable all-in-one displays for work, streaming, and even gaming, all packed with smart features and AI tricks.

All three models—the Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF), M8 (M80F), and M7 (M70F)—come in 32-inch screen sizes. The M7 will also be available in a larger 43-inch version for those who want a little extra screen real estate.

The M9 stands out with its 32-inch 4K QD-OLED display, offering rich colors and deeper contrast, especially useful for streaming or content creation. To keep visuals clear even in well-lit rooms, Samsung added a glare-free coating to cut down on reflections.

It’s also equipped for fast-paced action: the M9 supports up to a 165Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and includes support for both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. If you're gaming, watching videos, or juggling multiple windows, the display is designed to keep things smooth and sharp.

One of the biggest updates across the lineup is Samsung’s focus on built-in AI features. On the M9, you’ll find tools like AI Picture Optimizer and 4K AI Upscaling Pro, which automatically tweak the image depending on what you're watching. There’s also Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) Pro to enhance dialogue in real time based on ambient noise.

A feature called Samsung Vision AI can even identify what’s happening on screen—actors, food, or objects—and serve up related info or recommendations. The monitors also support “Click to Search,” which lets you interact with content more intuitively. It’s all powered by the company’s NQM AI Gen 3 Processor and runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS with One UI.

Streaming is also built in. You’ll get access to Samsung TV Plus, apps like Netflix and YouTube, and the Samsung Gaming Hub for cloud-based game streaming without needing a console. The M9 includes game-centric tools like Game Bar, Virtual Aim Point, and Super Ultrawide Game View for a more flexible setup.

Beyond entertainment, these monitors double as productivity hubs. All three models support Multi View, which lets you split the screen for side-by-side multitasking. Multi Control allows you to use one keyboard and mouse across your Samsung devices—whether it's a phone, tablet, or laptop. Microsoft 365 is available directly on the monitor, meaning you can view and edit documents without connecting a PC.

The M9 also has a built-in 5MP camera (with 4K video), far-field mics, and an IR sensor for face detection—handy for video calls or logging in. The height-adjustable stand lets you swivel, tilt, or pivot the screen, and the frame itself is all metal, giving it a sleek and sturdy look. For audio, it packs 10W stereo speakers and comes with a SolarCell remote that charges via USB-C.

When it comes to ports, you’re covered: HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C with 90W charging, and two USB-A ports. Wireless features include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, and AirPlay 2 support.

To help prevent OLED burn-in—something that can happen when static images stay on the screen too long—Samsung included a thermal control system called OLED Safeguard+. It uses a mix of sensors, AI, and even a cooling pipe to manage heat and brightness. If the monitor sits idle for 10 minutes, it dims the screen and kicks on a screensaver automatically.

Samsung Smart Monitor M7.

If the M9 feels like overkill for your needs, the new Smart Monitor M8 and M7 offer more budget-friendly alternatives. Both use VA LCD panels with 4K resolution and include the same Tizen OS, AI-powered content discovery, and productivity features. They’re designed for everyday tasks like working from home, light gaming, or binge-watching your favorite shows.

The M8 comes in a warm white finish, while the M7 is available in black or white. Like the M9, both models support SmartThings integration and long-term software updates—up to seven years of upgrades, according to Samsung.

All three new Smart Monitors are available now for pre-order in the U.S.:

  • Smart Monitor M9 (QD-OLED)$1,599.99
  • Smart Monitor M8 (VA LCD)$699.99
  • Smart Monitor M7 (VA LCD)$399.99

Whether you're looking for a premium all-in-one display or something more straightforward for daily use, Samsung’s new Smart Monitor lineup aims to give you plenty of flexibility, without needing a separate PC, console, or streaming stick.
