Roku just made it easier to bring your favorite shows and movies to a wall—any wall, really. The company has launched its very first Roku TV-powered smart projector, the Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector D1R Cube, and it’s officially available in the U.S. on Amazon.
If you’re familiar with Roku TVs or streaming sticks, this projector will feel instantly recognizable. But now, instead of needing a TV screen, you get a compact cube that can project up to 150 inches of Full HD video whether you're inside your living room or outside in the backyard.
And for those who follow the projector world, the Aurzen name might already ring a bell. At HomeTheaterReview, we’ve reviewed several Aurzen models in the past: the Boom Mini won our Editor’s Choice Award, the Aurzen ZIP took Best of CES 2025, and the EAZZE D1 and D1 Pro earned our Highly Recommended Award. With this new Roku-powered projector, Aurzen is moving even deeper into the mainstream streaming space.

The D1R Cube runs Roku’s full TV software, so it doesn’t just look like a Roku—it is a Roku. You get the same easy-to-use interface with thousands of apps, including Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, YouTube, and more. You also get access to over 500 live TV channels through The Roku Channel, plus Roku Originals.
“Whether you’re camping, grilling, or setting up a home theater, projectors have always promised a big-screen experience, but they often lacked the simplicity and smart connectivity that today’s viewers expect,” said Tom McFarland, Vice President, Roku TV. “The Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector changes that—combining Roku’s award-winning OS with effortless setup and access to thousands of movies, TV shows, and live channels.”
Everything is controlled with a single Roku remote (the same kind that comes with Roku TVs), but you can also use the Roku mobile app for voice commands, private Bluetooth listening, or even screen mirroring. And if you’ve got an iPhone, you can cast content directly to the projector thanks to built-in Apple AirPlay.

If you’re already in the Roku ecosystem, this projector fits right in. It can wirelessly connect to Roku soundbars, speakers, or subwoofers, and it supports smart home alerts if you’re using Roku Smart Home devices.
Here’s a quick look at the D1R Cube’s specs:
Setup is designed to be as painless as possible. The projector automatically adjusts focus and keystone so you’re not fiddling with settings just to get a decent image. It’s compact and lightweight, so moving it from the bedroom to the backyard is no big deal.

The built-in speakers are fine for casual viewing, but for bigger sound, you’ve got options. Connect headphones via Bluetooth for private listening, or pair the projector with Roku wireless speakers for a fuller, louder audio experience.
The main idea behind the D1R Cube is flexibility. It’s not trying to replace a dedicated home theater projector with ultra-high brightness or laser light engines. Instead, it’s something you can use easily in different places—whether that’s for a movie on the ceiling, a game night on the garage wall, or a chill backyard gathering after sunset.
The brightness rating (330 ANSI lumens) means it’ll work best in darker environments. It’s not really cut out for daytime viewing in brightly lit rooms, but that’s typical for projectors in this size and price range. Think of it more like a fun, portable screen for evenings and weekends than a 24/7 TV replacement.

The D1R Cube brings what Roku does best—simple, reliable streaming—to a format that’s all about portability and fun. If you’ve ever wished your Roku TV could just follow you into the backyard or show up at your friend’s house for movie night, well... now it can.
This is a projector made for people who like things easy: one remote, familiar software, fast setup, and no need for extra gear to start watching. And for fans of Aurzen’s past projectors—or anyone deep in the Roku world—it could be a very tempting new addition.
The Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector D1R Cube is available now on Amazon for $250, but there’s a $70 coupon you can apply at checkout to bring the price down to just $170. Roku hasn’t said whether more projectors are on the way or if this is a one-off collaboration with Aurzen—but considering Aurzen’s strong track record and Roku’s huge user base, this could be just the beginning.
