Reolink’s latest addition to its smart home lineup—the Elite Floodlight WiFi—isn’t just another outdoor security camera. It brings together 4K resolution, wide-angle coverage, bright floodlights, and an on-device AI that can search video clips based on everyday descriptions like “man in a white hoodie.” And the best part? It doesn’t require a monthly subscription.
Now available for preorder at $219.99, this camera is designed for people who want better visibility around their property without giving up privacy or getting locked into a cloud-based service.
One of the more frustrating parts of using security cameras is trying to track down specific footage. You either scroll endlessly through timelines or sort through dozens of motion alerts hoping to find what you need.
Reolink is tackling that problem head-on with its Local AI Video Search. It works kind of like a Google search, but for your own security footage. You just type a phrase—something like “black pickup truck” or “man with red jacket”—and the system pulls up relevant video clips.
This search feature is powered by ReoNeura, Reolink’s own on-device AI. Unlike other systems that offload this kind of processing to the cloud (and charge you a fee to do it), everything here happens locally. That means no subscription, no internet uploads, and you stay in control of your data.
The camera uses two lenses stitched together to give you a 180-degree panoramic view. So whether it’s your front yard, a long driveway, or a wide patio, you’re less likely to run into blind spots.
Video is captured in 4K Ultra HD, which means you can zoom in on faces, license plates, or small details without the image getting fuzzy. That extra clarity can come in handy when reviewing something important or even just figuring out which neighbor’s dog keeps visiting your yard.
Mounted above the camera are two LED floodlights that can put out up to 3000 lumens. That’s a lot of light—more than some competing models like the Arlo Wired Floodlight Camera, which maxes out at 2,000 lumens.
You can pick between a warm 3000K glow (for softer light) or a cool 6000K beam (for better visibility). And depending on your needs, there are a few different lighting modes:
The camera’s built-in AI doesn’t just recognize motion—it can tell the difference between people, vehicles, and animals. That cuts down on false alerts from things like swaying trees or passing shadows.
If you want more control, the app lets you:
Everything can be managed through the Reolink mobile app, where you can watch live feeds, review past events, and tweak settings on the go. Thanks to Wi-Fi 6 support, video streams are fast and stable.
One thing to note: while the camera connects to your network wirelessly, it does need a wired power connection. That means it’s best suited for places where running a cable won’t be a problem—like above a garage or on a porch.
The box includes a mounting bracket, an install bar, and the tools you’ll need to set it up.
