Bowers & Wilkins is refreshing two of its award-winning wireless models with new color options, giving the Px7 S3 over-ear headphones and Pi8 true wireless earbuds a visual update without changing what’s under the hood. The Px7 S3 now arrives in Vintage Maroon, while the Pi8 expands with Dark Burgundy and Pale Mauve finishes.
The new versions became available March 19, with pricing unchanged at $479 for the Px7 S3 and $499 for the Pi8.
This isn’t a hardware refresh or feature update. Instead, Bowers & Wilkins is leaning into design and materials, areas where the brand has always placed just as much emphasis as performance.

The Px7 S3 sits near the top of Bowers & Wilkins’ wireless headphone lineup, targeting listeners who want strong sound quality in a premium, wireless package. The new Vintage Maroon finish adds a darker, more understated option, paired with metallic accents that push the design further into luxury territory.
Underneath, nothing has changed:

In our 2025 review, we gave the Px7 S3 an Editor’s Choice award, largely because of how it handles the basics. The sound leans toward clarity and control, with well-defined bass and a more composed presentation than many competitors in this category.
It’s also a headphone that makes a few deliberate trade-offs. Noise cancellation is competitive, but not the strongest in its class, and the focus is clearly on sound tuning and build quality rather than chasing every feature headline.

That same approach carries over here, the new finish doesn’t change the experience, it just changes how it looks on your head. The Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3 are available now at Amazon and Crutchfield for $479.
The Pi8 earbuds get a slightly bigger update in terms of choice, with two new finishes:

These additions bring the total number of Pi8 finishes to six, giving buyers more flexibility in what is still positioned as a premium, design-forward product.
Core specs remain the same:

There are also a few features that continue to set the Pi8 apart from typical wireless earbuds:
In our 2024 review, we gave the Pi8 an Editor’s Choice award, noting their focus on sound quality first. They deliver a clean, controlled presentation with a level of detail that feels closer to a compact hi-fi setup than most true wireless earbuds.

Like the Px7 S3, the Pi8 isn’t trying to dominate every category. Battery life is solid but not class-leading, and ANC is effective without being the strongest available. The priority is clearly on tuning, materials, and overall listening experience. The Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 are also available at Amazon and Crutchfield for $499.
This release is less about new features and more about keeping existing products relevant in a competitive market. The Pi8 and Px7 S3 already cover the essentials:

The new finishes don’t change any of that. Instead, they give these models a longer runway and a slightly broader appeal, especially for buyers who treat headphones as both audio gear and everyday accessories.
If you already own the Pi8 or Px7 S3, there’s nothing here that changes the equation. Performance, features, and pricing all remain the same.
But for anyone considering a purchase, the expanded color options make these models a bit easier to personalize. In a category where many products look and feel similar, that alone can matter.
More importantly, this update signals that Bowers & Wilkins isn’t rushing to replace either model. The Pi8 and Px7 S3 remain central to the lineup, and this refresh is a reminder that both are sticking around for a while.
