Not everyone has the space—or desire—for massive tower speakers and subwoofers that dominate the room. That’s where PSB’s latest home theater duo comes in. The company just announced the PWM Sat On-Wall Speaker and SubSeries BP7 Powered Subwoofer, two compact audio components designed to deliver clean, balanced sound without taking over your living space.

PSB has been around since the early ’70s and is part of Lenbrook International—the same group behind NAD Electronics and Bluesound. Over the years, they’ve built a reputation for designing speakers that focus on natural, balanced sound using research-backed approaches to audio. These latest products keep that same mindset, just in a much more space-conscious package.

PSB PWM Sat On-Wall

The PWM Sat is PSB’s most compact on-wall speaker yet. It’s part of their existing PWM series, which focuses on space-friendly audio for people who don’t want floor-standing speakers or giant bookshelf boxes taking up room.

Despite its size, the PWM Sat includes some serious speaker tech. Inside you’ll find a 1-inch titanium dome tweeter and a 4-inch woven carbon fiber woofer, both borrowed from PSB’s higher-end Synchrony driver platform. That means it’s not just designed to look clean—it’s meant to sound balanced and clear, whether you’re watching movies, listening to music, or playing a game.

What really makes the PWM Sat flexible is how you can mount it. A two-piece locking bracket system lets you install it vertically, horizontally, or even on the ceiling. So whether you’re looking for front left/right speakers, rear surrounds, or upward-firing height channels for a Dolby Atmos setup, this speaker can probably do the job.

And if you already own other PSB gear, good news: the PWM Sat is voiced to match the rest of the brand’s lineup. That means it should slot into your existing system without sounding out of place. It comes in satin black or satin white, so you can pick a finish that fits your space.

Price? $1,099 per pair.

PSB SubSeries BP7 Powered Subwoofer

Alongside the speaker, PSB also launched the BP7 Powered Subwoofer, a compact but capable sub that doesn’t need a lot of floor space to deliver solid bass. It’s about 10.6 inches in each dimension, which makes it easier to fit next to a media console or tuck away in a corner.

But what’s inside matters more than what it looks like. The BP7 features a sealed cabinet and a bipolar driver array—that’s two 6.5-inch carbon fiber woofers facing opposite directions, designed to cancel out unwanted vibrations and keep distortion low. It’s powered by a 350-watt Class D amplifier, which gives it enough juice for both music and movie explosions.

Unlike ported subs (which use vents to boost low-end), the sealed design here keeps things more consistent. There’s no port noise or chuffing, and it tends to behave more predictably no matter where you place it. PSB says the BP7 reaches down to 28 Hz (±3 dB), which should be enough to satisfy most home theater setups.

For controls and inputs, it checks the usual boxes: stereo line-level inputs, a variable crossover, phase switch, 12V trigger, and auto-standby to save energy. There’s even an LED light that tells you if it’s on or in standby mode.

Internally, the sub uses oversized magnets, 1.5-inch voice coils, and DSP tuning (via Analog Devices), along with Texas Instruments amplification components. It's built to handle both delicate passages and the kind of rumbles that come with action scenes.

Price-wise, it lands at $1,199—not cheap, but in the ballpark for sealed subs with similar specs.

Who's This For?

If you're trying to build a home theater or media room that doesn’t look like one, the PWM Sat and BP7 combo makes a lot of sense. The speakers mount neatly on the wall and can be configured for just about any role in your setup. The subwoofer, meanwhile, gives you low-end support without demanding a huge footprint.

It’s also ideal for folks who already use other PSB products. Since these new models are tonally matched across PSB’s lineup, they’re a safe bet if you’re expanding an existing system.

You can grab the PWM Sat for $1,099 per pair and the BP7 for $1,199. Both are available in black or white, and you’ll find them through PSB’s network of authorized dealers.
