ELAC has spent nearly a century building a reputation for making speakers that sound far better than their price tags suggest. But traditionally, that reputation has lived in the world of home audio—tower speakers, bookshelf models, subwoofers, and reference-class gear. Portable Bluetooth speakers? Not so much. That changes with the new ELAC NAVA100, a compact wireless speaker designed for everyday listening, travel, and small-room sound without abandoning the company’s audio roots.
At first glance, the NAVA100 looks nothing like the rubberized, splash-proof speakers you find lining store shelves. Instead, it has a clean aluminum exterior, understated buttons, and an overall design language that feels more like a scaled-down desktop monitor than a grab-and-go beach speaker. That’s entirely intentional—ELAC is positioning the NAVA100 as a portable device for listeners who want something a little more grown-up and less disposable.

Inside the NAVA100 sits a 3-inch full-range driver supported by two passive radiators. That might not sound like much on paper, but it’s a very ELAC-like configuration: focus on a strong, well-tuned midrange and let clever acoustics handle the bass. A modest 10-watt amplifier powers the setup, which is enough to fill a bedroom, office, or hotel room without turning muddy or strained.
ELAC is promising a frequency response down to about 55 Hz, which is already deeper than many compact Bluetooth speakers in this size class. You’re not getting subwoofer rumble here, but you do get real bass presence, more “warm and full” than “thin and papery,” which is often the case with ultra-small portable speakers.
On the high end, the NAVA100 plays up to roughly 19.6 kHz, meaning it covers the full audible range without resorting to aggressive DSP tricks. Whether that translates to a more “natural” sound is something we’ll know once review units land, but it suggests that ELAC is leaning into clarity rather than artificially boosted low end.

“The NAVA100 embodies ELAC’s heritage while answering the way people listen today - portable, powerful, and beautifully designed,” said Joe Riggi, President of ELAC Americas Inc. “It’s more than just a speaker - it’s Music in Motion.”
Rather than exaggerate playback times with unrealistic volume levels, ELAC is surprisingly transparent here. The NAVA100 is rated for:
That’s not going to dethrone the marathon-playing party speakers of the world, but it’s perfectly reasonable for a compact model designed for everyday, moderate listening. And since it charges via USB-C, it slots into your existing charging routine without any proprietary cables.
A full charge takes around two hours, depending on your power source.

One of the most interesting features here is Dual Play, ELAC’s stereo pairing mode. If you buy two NAVA100 units, you can link them wirelessly and assign one to the left channel and one to the right. This is something many Bluetooth speakers advertise, but few execute cleanly without latency issues or weird syncing behavior.
If ELAC nails this feature—and their track record suggests they could—the NAVA100 becomes more than just a single portable speaker. It becomes a flexible, minimalist stereo system you could run on a bookshelf, desktop, or nightstand without cables or clutter.
Alongside the standard black model, ELAC partnered with design-forward clothing label Adsum for a cream-colored special edition. It’s the same hardware, but the look is more lifestyle-centric—softer, warmer, and clearly meant to blend into modern interiors.

It’s a small touch, but one that signals what ELAC is going for here: a portable speaker that doesn’t scream “tech,” but instead feels like something you’d intentionally display.
The ELAC NAVA100 is priced at $229, placing it above mainstream Bluetooth speakers like JBL and Ultimate Ears, but well below premium portable models from Sonos, B&O, or Bose. It is available for pre-order now at Crutchfield.
The portable Bluetooth category is packed with options—many of them cheaper, louder, and more durable than the NAVA100. But ELAC isn’t trying to join the race to become the loudest speaker in the park. Instead, the NAVA100 seems built for people who want:
If that’s the audience ELAC is targeting, the NAVA100 hits an interesting sweet spot: small enough to take anywhere, refined enough to use every day, and priced sensibly for listeners who care about quality but don’t need a “statement” piece.
