To celebrate its 10-year anniversary, Norwegian speaker brand Arendal Sound is releasing something a little different—and very exclusive. It’s called the 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition, and only 25 pairs are being made. That’s it. If you're someone who likes rare gear with a story behind it, this one definitely qualifies.
The limited edition model is based on Arendal’s flagship 1528 Tower 8 speaker, but this version comes dressed for the occasion. Instead of the standard finish, it’s wrapped in a rich rosewood veneer, layered with 12 coats of glossy piano lacquer. It’s the kind of finish you’d expect on high-end furniture, not just a speaker—and that’s intentional. The company says the design nods to classic Norwegian craftsmanship, with clean lines and materials that stand the test of time.
Each speaker looks slightly different too. Because rosewood has a natural grain pattern, no two pairs will be exactly alike.

To complete the new look, Arendal added a satin-black front baffle, black waveguide, trim rings, and base bars. It’s all done up with a level of detail that makes the speakers feel more like collector pieces than off-the-shelf models.
Jan Ove Lassesen is Arendal Sound’s founder and CEO says: “This speaker is a thank you. We’ve spent 10 years building something we believe in, and this is our way of celebrating that with the people who’ve made it possible.”
On the back of each speaker, you’ll find a chrome-plated plaque etched with a unique serial number and the signature of Arendal’s founder and CEO, Jan Ove Lassesen. It also ships with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by the company’s Chief Technical Officer, Thomas Gunvaldsen.

Even the feet are different from the regular version. Instead of Arendal’s usual Puck Plus feet, this model comes with Puck Pro isolation feet, which are designed to offer better stability and reduce unwanted vibrations.
While the outside is all about the anniversary flair, the inside sticks to the proven design that defines the original 1528 Tower 8. It’s a three-way speaker that includes:
These components work together to cover the full frequency range, from deep low-end rumble to high-end sparkle.

The drivers are mounted on a curved, 85mm-thick front baffle, which isn’t just a design choice—it’s meant to make sure the sound from each driver reaches your ears at the same time. That time alignment helps the music sound more coherent and natural, without weird overlaps or phase issues. The curved shape also simplifies the speaker’s crossover network, which helps maintain clarity across the board.
Arendal’s 10th Anniversary edition of the 1528 Tower 8 isn’t just a one-off paint job—it’s a carefully considered release for fans of both performance and design. Between the premium finish, upgraded feet, and collector-focused packaging, it’s clear this speaker is more about celebrating a milestone than launching a new line.

The 1528 Tower 8 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition is available only from Arendal Sound’s website, starting October 10, 2025. And yes, it’s priced like the special edition it is:
Since only 25 pairs are being made, you probably won’t see these on shelves—or in many living rooms. It’s a direct-to-consumer release, which means you order straight from Arendal. The upside? No retail markups, and a closer connection to the folks who actually built your gear.
