If you’ve ever juggled separate AppleCare+ plans for your iPhone, iPad, and maybe even your Apple Watch or Mac, Apple has a new option that might make your life a little easier—and a little less expensive. It’s called AppleCare One, and it’s Apple’s new subscription plan that lets you cover multiple devices under a single monthly fee.
Starting at $19.99 per month, AppleCare One includes coverage for up to three devices. Need to add more? You can do that too—just tack on another $5.99 per month per device. It’s available now in the U.S., and you can sign up straight from your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or by visiting an Apple Store.
AppleCare One gives you all the same coverage that AppleCare+ does: unlimited repairs for accidental damage (like cracked screens or water spills), battery service, and 24/7 access to Apple’s customer support. So if you’re already familiar with AppleCare+, you’ll feel right at home.
But AppleCare One adds a few new perks:
It’s all billed monthly, so you’re not locked into a multi-year commitment, and you can cancel or make changes as needed.
One important note: AppleCare One only covers devices tied to your Apple ID. So while it’s great for someone managing several personal devices, it’s not meant to be a shared plan across multiple family members.
Also, while most Apple devices up to four years old can be added, Apple puts a one-year age limit on headphones like AirPods. And if you’re adding an older iPhone or iPad, it’ll need to pass a quick diagnostic test—either through your device or at an Apple Store—to make sure it’s still in good shape.
Apple does put a limit on how many repairs you can request under AppleCare One: three claims per 12-month period. That limit resets every year. It’s a similar policy to what AppleCare+ already has, but it’s good to know upfront—especially if you’re managing coverage across multiple devices.
If you currently have individual AppleCare+ plans for your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, switching to AppleCare One could save you up to $11 a month. And if you’re someone who tends to upgrade their gear every couple of years, the plan is designed to adjust with you. When you trade in an old device, the new one can take over the same coverage slot automatically—no need to cancel one plan and start another.
That kind of flexibility can be useful for anyone who’s deep in the Apple ecosystem. Whether it’s a newer MacBook or an aging iPad used mainly for reading recipes, AppleCare One makes it easier to keep them protected without overthinking it.
While companies like Samsung and Google offer their own protection plans, those typically work on a per-device basis. If you’ve ever had to keep track of separate warranties for your phone, tablet, and earbuds, you know how confusing that can get. AppleCare One tries to fix that by wrapping everything together under one plan—and one bill.
It’s also part of Apple’s bigger strategy of bundling its services. Just like Apple One combines Music, iCloud, and TV+, AppleCare One is another step toward giving users a one-stop solution for managing their devices and subscriptions.
AppleCare One is officially live in the U.S., and you can sign up through your Apple devices or at any Apple Store. Whether or not it’s worth it depends on how many Apple devices you’re trying to cover, and how much peace of mind you want when it comes to repairs or replacements.
But if you’ve been juggling multiple AppleCare+ plans—or wishing you could protect that older iPad you still use—AppleCare One might be worth considering.
